About Us

We bring together people of all political persuasions who believe in several basic principles:

  • The proposed Restaurant Tax is a unfair, and unnecessary regressive tax that hurts the poorest Greensboro residents the hardest.
  • With gas and food prices already at record highs, this misconceived tax is bad for the economy because this is the wrong time to raise taxes on food.
  • Greensboro residents should not be forced to pay a higher tax on food, to fund projects that are unlikely to be used by the poorest among our citizens.
We are not directed by any political party or candidate, and are open to all members of the general public including candidates and members of all political parties. The only requirement is the belief that this regressive tax is bad for our community.
